What attempts are made to deliver insured boxes at the Hilo, Hawaii Post Office before returning them to the sender? I sent a Priority Mail box of Christmas presents to my family in Hilo on December 16., 2011. It was returned to me on February 7, 2012 marked " unclaimed". My son received a notice that the box had been returned to me, but did not receive notification of the box being delivered. I had not enquired about it, as I did not know it had not been delivered until it was returned.
