I mailed two small packages ,one to Ne zone 6 $2.63 and other to Mo zone 7 also $2,63,and she marked them 1st class. Why not 4th class ?

Well 4th class is a ground service. Parcel Post, Standard Mail and Media Mail are all 4th class. 1st Class mail is quicker since it gets flown instead of driven.

Thanks NO Thanks James I told the lady when she asked what class and i said if it got there this year that would be quick enough.
